2024 Symposiums: Charting New Territories

March 1 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm

We will start with an inspirational talk from Jolene Poore, Librarian at Ada Public Library. Join Dr. Edward Collins from the University of Central Oklahoma as he simplifies AI and gives practical ways that it can be used in adult literacy. Be sure to bring a laptop, tablet or smart phone. We will be giving you time to practice what you’ve learned while you have guidance available. After lunch, Mandy Durham with the Ruth G Hardman Adult Literacy Program will be sharing about Trauma and Adult Literacy. What does it mean to be “trauma-informed”? Learn about the latest science and explore potential applications in literacy. Registration is FREE for OLC Individual Members and $15 for non-members. Register here: https://okliteracy.org/2024-symposiums/. This is the first of three Regional Symposiums we will be hosting this spring. The other dates to save are April 3 in Sapulpa and May 3 in Lawton.
